2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD

February 7, 2013

If you are in need of a heavy duty truck that is capable of hauling a large payload while still having Bluetooth, Sirius Satellite Radio, and rugged good truck looks, let us introduce the 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD. This is a strong truck capable of big things, one of Chevyโ€™s workhorses. The Silverado 2500HD first off is a four-door full sized truck with crew cab, with a 6.0L Vortec Turbo Diesel V-8 engine that can get 680 mpg at cruising speeds with its 397 HP. But in all honesty, a truck driver is more worried about torque; they pull things, heavy things.

Heavy-Duty Towing Power

The Chevy has a towing capacity of up to 17,800 pounds with a fifth wheel trailer hitch. It should be more than enough to pull most anything you hitch to it due to the 765 foot pounds of torque the Silverado 2500HD produces. Have some horses that need pulling, a boat, or gear from one work site to the next? The Silverado has you covered with auto grade breaking; tow-hitch mode, trailer sway control, and hill start assist. Auto grade breaking will downshift the transmission to enable a slower more approached arrival which can be used while in or out of the tow-hitch mode.

Even More Safety

For additional safety, the trailer sway control will reduce power while also applying the break to right any potential hazardous situations. Then there is the hill start which in its self is self-explanatory but to give you an idea, the 2500HD Silverado will hold the truck steady on a hill grade 5% or more for a second to allow the driver time to apply the power. All features to make a power hungry, hardworking, heavy-duty truck driver happy.
