Designs for Your Next GMC Car Might Show Korean Creativity

May 31, 2012

General Motors has long been a global organization, and a recent announcement indicates the world might be getting just a little smaller. The company will expand its design center in Korea, increasing the size by 100% and adding the most advanced amenities. The Korean Design Team look forward to working in new modeling studios, and new space will be available for design work and display. You can look forward to seeing the results of their efforts soon at Palm Springs GMC, Jessup Auto Plaza .

For the moment, GM has indicated that the newly enhanced site in Korea will house more than 200 employees. They will be contributing to the company’s world-class designs for both the interiors and exteriors of some of the most popular vehicles in the GM lineup. For example, the Korean Team had influence in the creation of the successful Cruze, Aveo, and Spark, and they created the concept vehicle Chevrolet Miray that has been touring the world’s auto shows since last year.

When making the announcement that Korean operations will expand, GM noted that the company will stay true to its environmentally sound ideals. They plan to use the latest techniques for environmentally friendly construction, and the building will feature recent innovations in water reduction, energy reduction, and increased use of recycled materials. Korea has been a long-time member of the GM family, as the company has invested a minimum of $850 million annually in local operations for the past ten years. This year, that figure is expected to rise to nearly $1.27 billion.

GM believes that the newly expanded center in Korea will inject more excitement into its lineup. This might be just the boost needed to grow sales according to strategic plans.  For your own look at the award-winning General Motors cars and trucks, visit Palm Springs GMC at Jessup Auto Plaza . Once you go for a test drive you will agree that creative design is one of GMs greatest strengths.
