Next-Generation Chevy Silverado & GMC Sierra Launching in 2013

February 3, 2012

If you’re a truck driver or simply an avid fan of those shiny new luxury-style 2012 Silverados, you’ll be interested to hear that both Chevrolet and GMC are planning a launch of next-generation pickups that will excel any kind of truck they’ve created before.  The next generation launch comes at a later date than originally expected—a year before GM hit bankruptcy, they were forced to postpone the design of their next generation GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado from 2012 to an unknown future date.  But today, they’ve released the expected launch of their new designs.  Looking for your Palm Springs GMC or Beaumont Chevrolet deals?  Head on over to Jessup Auto Plaza, located near you in Cathedral City.

The USA-based GM sales boss is revealing that the truck plants will be re-tooled during a scheduled shutdown in 2012.  Although the shutdown will begin this year, GM will start building their next-generation Silverado and Sierra models in 2013. When they launch, the next generation trucks will be official 2014 models.

Several years ago when GMC and Chevrolet were planning their next-generation vehicles, before the bankruptcy incident, the influence of rising gas prices on the minds of car buyers was a suggested direction for their new cars.  But the 2014 models aren’t going to be built strictly fuel-conscious.  Instead, GMC and Chevrolet is planning even bigger things for their next-generation vehicles, none of which they’ve shared with the public…yet.  Car experts are saying that the next year in 2013 will be an all-around huge year for the car companies, with the launch of all new trucks, an all new Corvette, all new V8 engines, and just so much more.

Find your new Palm Springs GMC or Beaumont Chevrolet at Jessup Auto Plaza, right in Cathedral City.
