2012 Cadillac SRX Powered By Brand New Engine

January 27, 2012

This year, Cadillac is putting an all-new engine beneath the hood of their SRX midsized crossover SUV, and it’s definitely a huge improvement.  The new 3.6-liter V6 replaces an average 3-liter engine, and it powers up the car with 308 horsepower.  A 6-speed automatic with manual mode makes up the transmission.  The new engine is fuel efficient, too: the car gets 17 mpg in town and 24 mpg on the highway.  Besides the new engine, Cadillac has engineered several other improvements for their popular SRX.  Looking for your Palm Desert Cadillac?  Head over to Jessup Auto Plaza in Cathedral City today, offering a large selection of brand new Cadillacs.

The new engine in the SRX even offers an “eco” setting that the driver can easily turn off and on.  This fuel conscious option saves a few mpg when you feel like it—an improvement of 3-4 mpg in both areas.  Other improvements that Cadillac has included in their SRX besides the revamped engine include a Bluetooth hands-free link that’s a standard even on the base model.  Plus, you get to enjoy a heated steering wheel during those colder months (which is a standard on the Luxury Collection).  The Performance version comes with new and improved wheels.  The interior features comfortable, luxurious seating.

The 2012 Cadillac SRX has been described by car experts as overall very accommodating and offering a smooth, pain free ride.  The cargo space is very generous, with a bin stowed away under the floor where you can hide valuables—or separate the eggs from the other groceries!  The SRX has been made with a family in mind: it’s your sleek, luxury alternative to the average family car.

Come to Jessup Auto Plaza in Cathedral City to find your brand new Palm Desert Cadillac!
