Chevrolet: Bringing Back the Performance LSX Challenge Series For 2012

December 22, 2011

It’s the season for a lot of surprises, and Chevrolet has just announced perhaps their biggest one.  The Chevrolet Performance LSX Challenge Series is back to heat up the tires of Chevrolet-powered vehicles, and its set to be more competitive than ever.  This Challenge is the premier racing series that features a race between street-based vehicles that are powered by LS and LSX engines created by Chevrolet.  The first full successful season for the LSX Challenge was held this October; and the intensity of competition is certainly building for the upcoming 2012 challenge.  Find your Palm Desert Chevrolet today at Jessup Auto Plaza, located near you in Cathedral City, CA.

The Chevy Performance LSX Challenge Series experienced a first full season in 2011, and it was a major success.  Ever since Chevrolet announced that it would run a 2012 LSX Challenge Series, competition has been high.  There’s a new $250 award in the pot for 2012, too.  Chevrolet Performance plans to award the fastest racers of each class in the Challenge Series the extra $250 if they win while using a GM Performance Parts LSX Bowtie Block.

The 2012 LSX Challenge Series will be in the same format of five classes: LSX All Motor, LSX Drag Radial, LSX Rumble (index), LSX Real Street, and the very popular class, 5th Generation Camaro Challenge.  Chevrolet’s best engines will be in the racer’s streetcars.  The first opening dates for the Challenge Series begin March 15 to March 18 in Florida.
