America’s Best Selling Mid-Size Luxury Coupe? The Cadillac CTS

November 11, 2011

If you were to ask a knowledgeable Palm Desert Cadillac dealer just which car brand sold the best in the mid-size luxury coupe section, you might be surprised to find out that the answer would be Cadillac.  However, automotive news sections are all singing the praises of the Cadillac CTS coupe in unison, and stating it as a fact: the CTS coupe by Cadillac is simply the best-selling mid-size luxury coupe in America.  In a single month alone (this September), GM sold no less than 15,771 Cadillac CTS coupes, pulling an unheard of 27% increase in overall sales just from that figure.  Interested to test drive a local Palm Desert Cadillac?  Visit Jessup Auto Plaza located right in Cathedral City, where a new special is going on just about every day.

Ever since it became available in mid-2010, the 2011 Cadillac CTS coupe enjoyed a lot of success among luxury coupe buyers.  Kurt McNeil, the VP of Cadillac Sales and Service, has stated that the launch of the CTS coupe as well as successive sales have been an unqualified success.  It’s set the stage for Cadillac to launch their upcoming ATS and XTS models with high expectations.

The Cadillac CTS Coupe is powered by an impressive 3.6I V6 engine that has an output of no less than 304 horsepower, featuring a 6-speed manual transmission.  The fuel economy isn’t so bad, either, at around 27 mpg.  Priced at $38,900, it’s a valuable deal for many who are looking for a quality luxury coupe. There’s also a CTS-V on the market that puts out 556 horsepower, and this version was equally a well-received hit among luxury coupe buyers.
