Two Brand New Models From Cadillac: XTS Sedan & the ATS Compact

August 12, 2011

Cadillac is preparing two new models to launch for 2012, and so far they’re keeping their brand new cars under camouflage, according to recent photos taken by the press.  Next year, in 2012, Cadillac has announced that they’re going to launch a full size XTS sedan and the ATS compact sedan; one in the spring, and one in the summer.  Located in Cathedral City, Jessup Auto Plaza is offering great deals on local Coachella Valley Cadillac models.

The exciting announcement from Cadillac is causing anticipating among Cadillac car buyers.  The upmarket division of GM has also announced that “ATS” is merely a codename for their new compact sedan, and the photos revealed of the car as well as the photos in from the press show the efforts they’re taking to keep things under tabs.  The ATS compact Cadillac has been described for us as a rear-wheel drive that’s mainly targeted to compete with the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.  The coupe as well as the convertible models of the ATS may be launched in the near future.

With the new production of Cadillac’s brand new models, over 600 jobs have been created for workers.  Assembling is taking place at the Lansang Grand River Assembly Plant located inside Michigan.  The ATS prototype is predicted to contain the new Alpha platform from GM and a compact rear wheel design that could be used later for GM’s next generation of CTS.

Previews of the ATS and the XTS could be coming up at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concurs d’Elegance, but this hasn’t been officially declared by GM yet.  Visit our local Cathedral City Jessup Auto Plaza dealership today for 2011 deals on local Coachella Valley Cadillacs.
