Chevrolet Stays Strong With Highest First Quarter Sales

May 26, 2011

Here at Jessup Auto Plaza, we’ve been featuring reliable GM model cars for years.  And, 2011 has been a year that’s had both its ups and its downs.  However, throughout all the economy highs and lows, sales of General Motors have stayed strong, with GM car makes and models populating dealerships such as Jessup Auto Plaza Cathedral City.  Sales in 2011 were actually up by 15% as compared to 2010.  In fact, car dealer news have reported that GM’S Chevrolet models have had their best first quarter of the year ever in sales that were significantly higher globally as opposed to former years.

It’s a great way to kick off Chevrolet’s 100 Year Anniversary as a national car brand.  Chevrolet is a reliable model car that has been going strong now for an entire century.  This certainly says a lot for the reputation of the brand.  It hasn’t faded out during the years.  Rather, it’s getting stronger as time goes on.  Over 2.3 million cars were sold by GM just in China during 2010.  They’re looking to top that amount in 2011 and following years.  The first quarter of the 2011 year also marks the first time that the Chevrolet Cruze became the best-selling Chevrolet model car globally.  It was up by a huge 115% in comparison to the first quarter in 2010.

Chevrolet has only improved and become better as the years have gone on.  It’s now bestselling car, the Chevy Cruze, will soon be offered in a hatchback variant.  More and more Chevy cars are showing up in lots, including ours here at Jessup Auto Plaza Cathedral City.  It’s true that one barrel of oil now costs $100, but that’s not stopping people from buying Chevrolet cars.  In fact, it’s only encouraging GM to create more fuel efficient cars.  Take the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze for a test run at Jessup Auto Plaza Cathedral City.
