Buick Eyes a Fuller Future Lineup

August 31, 2010

Building great automobiles starts long before any physical parts are put in place. Before manufacture comes design, and before design, conception. Concepts must meet practical consumer needs (such as size, performance, body type) but also have an essence all their own, a central core to the car’s identity.

Buick has plans to expand its lineup from its current size (4 vehicles) to 6 or 7 vehicles over the next few years. What’s on tap? No details are official, but so far, many are expecting:

  • The Buick Verano – A compact sedan, likely related to the Buick Regal, that wraps Buick refinement into a sleek, compact package.
  • The Buick Encore – A compact crossover that does the same for the crossover SUV segment.
  • A new Buick flagship. Details yet unknown, but we’re excited to learn more as the concept is released.

In addition to new vehicles, you’ll also see a Buick LaCrosse hybrid before 2012, which means great things for those who prefer their refinement with an extra dose of innovation.
