Google Maps + OnStar = A Perfect GM Navigation Experience

July 15, 2010

For years, OnStar has been the leading provider of in-vehicle assistance, first in emergency situations and now with navigation. And of all online mapping services, Google Maps is by far the most popular, powerful, and reliable. Combine the two, and make them available in every new GM vehicle, and you’ve got a powerful thing.

One of the downsides to many GPS devices is the inability to easily customize routes. Perhaps you scoped out your trip on Google Maps before you left home, but your GPS doesn’t let you recreate what Google did. Now, when you drive a GM vehicle, you can plan a trip exactly to your liking, then send it to your vehicle through OnStar, for turn-by-turn navigation as you go. It’s called eNav, and it’s available now.

“the eNav feature of our Turn-by-Turn service allows drivers to keep their eyes, hands and minds where they need to be – on the road,” said Nick Pudar of OnStar.

Want to learn more? How about test driving a new Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, or Buick? After all, eNav is just one of the many upsides to driving a new GM vehicle. Stop by our Cathedral City GM dealership (serving Yucaipa, Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Hemet, Indio, Cathedral City, Beaumont, Banning, and others) to learn more.
