First Look Inside The Chevrolet Volt Electric Car

April 23, 2010

We shared a quick Facebook post on this yesterday, but it bears further discussion here because, well, we’re pretty excited about it. The countdown to the release of the Chevy Volt hasn’t quite begun (because an official date to count down to hasn’t been announced yet), but the anticipation continues to run strong.

The 2011 Chevrolet Volt will be one of the most fuel efficient and innovative cars on the market. This week, new pictures of the Volt were posted on the Volt site, sharing a tour of the Volt’s interior. (To see it, click the Volt picture below and select “See Inside.”)

The Volt’s interior will be as stylish as its exterior and as smart as its engineering, featuring smooth, clean lines, light sloping surfaces, a fresh and modern user interface, and gentle colors. Fuel economy will be regularly monitored and easy to respond to, and all of the controls have a fresh appearance that perfectly match the Volt’s bright, clean interior aesthetic.

Of course, it’s just a “sneak peak” as of yet, but when the Volt joins the Chevrolet lineup (featuring the ever fuel efficient 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt and exceptionally well engineered 2010 Chevrolet Malibu), it’ll be one of the most competitive (and intelligent) lineups on the market.

The Chevy Volt looks great, and every review I’ve read has been extremely positive. I can’t wait for them to arrive at local dealership showrooms so I can test drive one. Keep up the good work GM!
