Not Yet In Cathedral City, Chevrolet Cruze Makes Waves

January 28, 2010

It’s typical for the auto industry to keep an eye on the up-and-coming models, but this year, Chevy has two that have gotten a heavy, more-than-usual amount of press, especially considering the relative distance of their release dates. The Chevy Volt, an electric vehicle with an extended gas engine, has been one of those two. The second, and closer to production, is the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze.

The Cruze is already popular in Chevrolet’s European and Asian markets, and its release in the U.S. later this year is going to be a big deal. When it comes this fall, the 2011 Chevy Cruze is expected to have a highway fuel rating of up to 40 mpg. That’s good in any car, but consider this: the Cruze is mid-size. It boasts a roomy interior, excellent road poise, lots of features, and yes, segment-leading fuel economy and safety.

Stay tuned for more, but for now, you don’t have to wait for fuel-efficient Chevy vehicles. The 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt is just one of 8 Chevy vehicles that get more than 30 miles to the gallon, and we have several available at our Cathedral City Chevrolet dealership, including the one pictured here.
