GMC Granite Foretells The Future Of “Urban-Industrial Design”

January 14, 2010

In our last post, we talked about buzz surrounding the Detroit debut of the Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept. But as a Cathedral City GM dealership, the Detroit-based North American International Auto Show is giving us more than the XTS to get excited about. Some of the biggest buzz coming out of Detroit is surrounding the GMC Granite Concept.

GMC Granite: Urban industrial, high on design and utility

GMC Granite: Urban industrial, high on design and utility

The GMC Granite, while still a concept right now, is a really fresh addition to the GMC lineup. Adding a professional edge to the popular box-style SUV, the Granite would combine style with capability, using some of the highest quality materials, forward-thinking design, and people-friendly amenities on the market. It would be the smallest GMC on the market, yet would still have ample and versatile cargo space.

The GMC Granite, says GM, combines “a decidedly urban-industrial design aesthetic with functionality aimed at young professionals.” Sounds good to us! Want to stay up to date on news about the GMC Granite? Friend Jessup on Facebook. We’d love to hear what you think.
